Mionów [ˈmjɔnuf] (German: Polnisch Müllmen, Silesian: Miōnōw) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Głogówek, within Prudnik County, Opole Voivodeship, in southern Poland, close to the Czech border.[1] It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north-west of Głogówek, 17 km (11 mi) north-east of Prudnik, and 34 km (21 mi) south of the regional capital Opole. Historically located in Upper Silesia, in the Prudnik Land.

Under Nazi Germany, the village was renamed to Niederrode in Oberschlesien to erase traces of Polish origin.

Since 2009, in addition to the official Polish language, German has also been recognized as an additional secondary language.[2]
