Mijares is a municipality located in the municipality of Santillana del Mar, Cantabria, Spain. The town borders San Miguel Bridge. Mijares had a population of 422 in 2019 (INE). The village is located 3 kilometers south of the municipal capital and located at an altitude of 71 meters.
Among its monuments are the Peredo Palace, built in the second half of the c. 16th century and declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1995, the parish church of San Andrés and Santa María, built in the c. 17th century with classicist elements, in which St. Lucy and Our Lady of the Rosary are venerated today.
