Nicholas Fry, known professionally as Lydia B Kollins (born May 29, 2001), is an American drag performer, filmmaker, and model[3] competing on the upcoming seventeenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race.[4]
Early life and education
[edit]Fry was raised in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, attending Hempfield Area School District and graduating in 2019. They attended Point Park University for film and graduated in 2023.[5]
Career
[edit]Fry's drag persona Lydia B Kollins is derived from Beetlejuice character Lydia Deetz. Lydia B Kollins is a filmmaker, and cites Tim Burton, David Lynch, and John Waters as inspirations.[2][3] She started drag in the online drag community, competing on the web series Drag Showdown, as well as winning the third season of The Drag Ball web series. As a model, she walked for Susanne Bartsch’s "Bartsch Summer Camp Pride" event in 2021.[3] Lydia B Kollins opened for Chappell Roan's Pittsburgh show as apart of The Midwest Princess Tour in April 2024.[6]
Their drag family The Haus of Kollins is the creators of the Edgewood Magazine, which boasts its "Physically Documented Queer Existence". The magazine is created by Lydia B and Zelda Kollins, as well as numerous queer based contributors in Pittsburgh.[7]
