Look [1] is a 2009 short film written and directed by Ryan Pickett. The movie features Starina Johnson, John Ferguson, Theresa Meeker Pickett and Ryan Pickett.

Plot

This movie examines the emptiness that accompanies beauty. When a model walks into a restaurant, barmaid Emma begins to fantasize about her glamorous life and soon follows the model to the set of a photo shoot. Escapism is a short relief for Emma, who must eventually face her everyday life.

Premier and distribution

Look premiered at the Regal Cinemas theatre in Green Hills, Tennessee in Spring 2009.[2] The short film was distributed on online video streaming services such as IndieFlix and Indiepix Films.[9]

Production

Look was directed, co-written, produced, and edited by Ryan Pickett. He was a top five finalist in the Race to BE entrepreneurship competition hosted by Russell Simmons in Los Angeles.[10][11] Look was shot with the Red One 4K in Nashville, Tennessee.[3]
