List of tallest buildings in Nashville
This list of the tallest buildings in Nashville ranks skyscrapers in Nashville, in the U.S. state of Tennessee, by height. The tallest building in the city and the state is the AT&T Building, which rises 617 feet (188 m) in downtown Nashville and was completed in 1994.[1] The second-tallest skyscraper in the city is the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences, which rises 542 feet (165 m).
High-rise buildings first appeared in Nashville with the construction of the First National Bank Building, now the Downtown Courtyard Hotel, in 1905; this building rises 168 feet (51 m) and 12 floors.[2] As of Dec 2024, there were approximately 275 completed buildings of 100 feet and taller in the city, according to the urbanplanet.org Nashville chapter database (and using Emporis figures). Twenty high-rises have been completed in the past three years, with another approximately 22 currently under construction, 15 approved, and another 25 high-rises approved/proposed. Nashville has demonstrated quick approval of many major projects, such as One22One. It was announced in February 2019, with the previous building demolished and ground breaking expected in September 2019.[3] As of July 2022, there were 45 cranes in Downtown and Metro Nashville.
Since 2000, Nashville has seen two urban construction booms — one prior to the Great Recession of 2008 and the other from 2015 to 2023 — that have yielded multiple high-rises. Of the city's 38 completed towers of 300 feet or taller, as of November 2024, 26 have opened since 2015. In addition, six towers of at least 300 feet were either currently under construction or seeing preliminary site work undertaken by late 2024, and another 10 approved for construction.
