Lewis Raymond Taylor (born 17 May 1990) is an entrepreneur, podcaster and public speaker from Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.[1][2][3] He is the host of a podcast show "Turning Adversity into An Asset"[4] which featured actors, celebrities and TV personalities such as Katie Price,[5][6] Gail Porter, Ash Dykes, Kerry Katona,[7] Dave Courtney, Billy McFarland, Charlie Edwards, Matt Hookings,[8] and Dapper Laughs as guests.[9] He is the founder of a coaching company known as "The Coaching Masters".[10][11] In 2022, Taylor gave a TEDx Youth talk at Radley College titled Turning a Black Hole White."[12][13] His life was documented in a Channel 4 documentary Teens On Cons.[14] In 2023, a documentary film about his life, “The Psychopath Life Coach” was released on Netflix.[15][16]
Early life
[edit]Taylor was born in Hertfordshire, England.[17] He is a victim of sexual abuse and struggled with mental illness and substance misuse during his teenage years. By the age of 13, he had been arrested multiple times for offenses including shoplifting, arson, criminal damage, and car theft.[18] Taylor attended school in Kings Langley but was expelled at 15 after receiving an Antisocial Behaviour Order.[14] At the age of 18, he was sent to a Young Offender Institution, and by the age of 24, he was serving his third prison sentence for a violent assault that caused grievous bodily harm to another individual.[19] Following his release, he pursued education, studying business at Highbury College and Business Management & Entrepreneurship at Portsmouth University.[2][3]
Career
[edit]After his release from prison in 2015, Taylor qualified as a life coach[19][20] and founded a coaching company known as "The Coaching Masters".[2][10][5] Taylor gave a TEDx speech called "Turning a Black Hole White" at a TedxYouth event at Radley College, Oxfordshire in 2022.[12] He hosts a podcast show "Turning Adversity into An Asset"[4] which features many actors, celebrities and TV personalities.[4][5]
In popular culture
[edit]A Netflix documentary film titled The Psychopath Life Coach was made on Taylor's life, which was released in 2023.[15][21]
