Kheyrgu Rural District (Persian: دهستان خیرگو)[3] is in Kheyrgu District of Lamerd County, Fars province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Chahar Taq.[4] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Kheyrgu[5] (now a city).[6]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of Alamarvdasht District) was 6,259 in 1,314 households.[7] There were 6,757 inhabitants in 1,752 households at the following census of 2011.[8] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 8,611 in 2,529 households. The most populous of its 25 villages was Kheyrgu (now a city),[6] with 1,821 people.[2]

After the census, the rural district was separated from the district in the establishment of Kheyrgu District.[4]
