KHSP-LP (94.3 FM) is a low-power FM (LPFM) radio station licensed to Huntsville, Texas. It is owned and operated by Spirit Media Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The station has been granted a construction permit by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and is preparing to launch its broadcast. KHSP-LP will serve the local community with Christian programming, inspirational music, and faith-based content.
The station is branded as Spirit Radio 94.3 FM and uses the tagline "The Spirit of Huntsville."
History
[edit]The KHSP-LP call sign was previously assigned to a different low-power FM station affiliated with LifeTalk Radio. That station ceased operations in 2021, and its FCC license was canceled.
In 2024, Spirit Media Inc. received a new construction permit from the FCC to launch a new low-power FM station at 94.3 FM. Although it uses the same call letters, the station has no connection to the former LifeTalk Radio affiliate and features a completely new ownership, format, and programming.
Programming
[edit]KHSP-LP is expected to offer a mix of:
- Contemporary Christian music
- Inspirational teachings and messages
- Local community programming
In addition to its upcoming FM broadcast, Spirit Radio is already available for streaming through the Spirit Radio FM app.
