Jordan Hancock (born August 12, 2003)[1] is an American football cornerback for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Early life and high school
[edit]Hancock was born in Suwanee, Georgia where he attended high school North Gwinnett. In Hancock's junior season he totaled 15 tackles and two interceptions.[2] Hancock originally decided to commit to play college football for the Clemson Tigers.[3][4] However, Hancock flipped his commitment to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes.[5][6]
College career
[edit]In Hancock's first career season in 2021, he appeared in three games where he notched two tackles and a pass deflection.[7] Hancock missed the first six games of the 2022 season with a leg injury.[8] Hancock made his first career start in week ten of the 2022 season against Indiana.[9] Hancock finished the 2022 season with five tackles.[10] In week ten of the 2023 season, Hancock notched his first career interception which he returned 93 yards for a touchdown, as he helped the Buckeyes beat Rutgers.[11][12] For his performance against Rutgers, Hancock was named the Thorpe Award National Defensive Back of the Week.[13]
