Jon Paul is an American filmmaker, actor and martial artist best known for his short film Dojo (2023), a martial arts action-drama short film that has won multiple awards.[1]

Life and career

Paul was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where he developed an early passion for storytelling and martial arts.[2] He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology, but his interests shifted toward personal training and martial arts.[2]

Paul ventured into filmmaking and began auditioning for roles.[2] In 2023, he created his first short film, Dojo, a martial arts action-drama short film that has won multiple awards.[3][4][5] He was the lead actor in the film starring as Shane Lucas.[6][7]

Beyond filmmaking, Paul is a martial artist, holding a 4th-degree black belt in Judo and earning two national Judo championships.[8]

  • 2024 - Best Short Film Actor at the 2024 Fighting Spirit Film Festival[9]
  • 2024 - Awarded the title, Amazing Brilliance in the King’s Book of World Records for his efforts in creating Dojo film.[1]
