Midlands Area super-featherweight champion

Jessica Barry (born 14 June 1994)[1] is a professional super featherweight boxer known as "the Celtic Banshee" or "Banshee Barry".[2][3]

Career

Barry was born in Warwick, Warwickshire in 1994. She had a successful amateur boxing career with Christ the King ABC in Coventry, winning 18 of 19 fights, before turning professional in 2022.[4] Whilst studying computer science at Coventry University she won the Universities Elite Cup.[5]

Barry previously boxed out of Fitzpatrick's gym in Leamington Spa and was trained by Derek Fitzpatrick.[5] She currently boxes out of Birmingham’s Eastside gym.[6]

In 2024 she won the Midlands Area super-featherweight title against Beccy Ferguson in six rounds.[7]

She has Irish heritage and has represented Ireland at boxing events.[3][8]
