Jayden Ade Trindade Meghoma (born 28 June 2006) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Premier League club Brentford.
Club career
[edit]Southampton
[edit]On 4 August 2022, Meghoma signed for Southampton on an initial scholarship deal.[1][2] Meghoma signed his first professional contract on 13 July 2023, keeping him at the club until 2025.[3] On 8 August 2023, he made his professional debut in a 3–1 defeat to Gillingham in the EFL Cup.[4]
Brentford
[edit]On 30 August 2024, Meghoma joined Premier League side Brentford on a four-year contract with the option to extend the deal by two years.[5]
International career
[edit]He has represented England at under-16 and under-17 level.[6] He was included in the under-17 squad for the 2023 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.[7]
On 6 September 2023, Meghoma made his England under-18 debut during a 2–0 defeat to France in Limoges.[8]
On 2 November 2023, Meghoma was included in the England squad for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup.[9]
On 4 September 2024, Meghoma made his England U19 debut as a substitute against Italy in Nedelišće.[10]
