José Ismael Díaz (February 20, 1948 – February 26, 1981) was a Salvadoran footballer.
Club career
[edit]Nicknamed el Cisco, Díaz played for C.D. Dragón before joining the Juan Francisco Barraza-managed Águila.[1]
International career
[edit]Díaz played for his country's Olympic team in the 1972 and 1976 qualifiers[2] and represented El Salvador in 3 FIFA World Cup qualification matches[3]
Death
[edit]In 1980, Díaz was murdered in San Miguel,[4][5] while working in his taxi.[6]
