Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU; 华中农业大学) is a public university in Wuhan, Hubei, China. It is affiliated with the Ministry of Education. The university is part of Project 211 and the Double First-Class Construction.

In 1952, Huazhong Agricultural College was established by merging the Agricultural College of Wuhan University, the whole Hubei Agricultural College, and some departments of Sun Yat-sen University, Nanchang University, He'nan University, Guangxi University, Hu'nan Agricultural College, and Jiangxi Agricultural College. In 1985, the school was renamed Huazhong Agricultural University.

In December 2024, Zhipeng Su, a freshman at HZAU, admitted to abusing and killing more than 20 cats and dogs on campus. He also glued the bodies of the animals in the female dormitory. Despite the severity of his actions, the university’s president and board have not issued any official response or statement. Su has continued to attend classes on campus without any visible disciplinary measures taken.
