Hetampur, Chandauli
Hetampur is a village in Sakaldiha tehsil of Chandauli district, it is a historical place , it was established by Hetam Khan a Jagirdar and king during the time of Sher Shah Suri. He build a fort here named as Hetampur fort .[1][2]

History of the place
[edit]Hetampur situated on the Sakaldiha-Kamalpur road leading to Naurangabad in the Dhanapur development area of Chandauli district, holds a rich historical legacy. Hetampur was established by, Sher Shah Suri's feudal lord Jagirdar, Hetam Khan, in 1540. it is is believed to have constructed three forts in this region, located about 2 kilometers north of Naurangabad. These forts, known collectively as Bhooleni Court, still stand today as remnants of the past and are now preserved under the protection of the Archaeological Department in Patna. Hetam Khan was a Niazi Pathan. His family after him abandoned the place and migrated to their relatives in Mania village of Kamsar region, in Ghazipur district in late 1600s. The fort is believed to be under Hetam Khan's descendents at Mania till the independence of 1947.
Locally, these forts are identified as the Eastern, Western, and Central Courts. According to a popular tale among villagers, a wedding procession once visited the forts to explore the Bhooleni Court. Mysteriously, the entire procession disappeared within the complex, giving rise to the name Bhooleni Court, which loosely translates to the "court of confusion" or "lost court." This legend has since become an integral part of the site’s enigmatic charm and history. The fort is under the Archaeological department of India. [3][4][5][6]
