Guo Jiakun (Chinese: 郭嘉昆; pinyin: Guō Jiākūn; born August 1980), ethnic Mongol,[1] is a Chinese diplomat, currently serving as the 35th spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China since 6 January 2025.[2][3]
Biography
[edit]Guo Jiakun served as the Third Secretary of the Permanent Mission of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations , Deputy Director of the Fourth Division of the Department of African Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , and Director of the Policy Planning Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China .[4][5]
On January 6, 2025, Guo Jiakun officially conducted a regular press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, assuming the role of the 35th spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.[6][7]
