Geist (Dwayne Geyer) is a fictional character in the DC Comics universe. He was created by Chuck Dixon and Jim Balent, and first appeared in Detective Comics Annual #6 (1993).[citation needed]

Fictional character biography

[edit]

Dwayne Geyer is among the metahumans whose abilities were activated by alien parasites during the Bloodlines event.[1] As a result, he becomes less visible in dim lighting and completely invisible in bright light. Using his powers, he helps Batman defeat one of the parasites in Gotham City.

Afterwards, Geist largely retires from heroics before returning to battle the Secret Society of Super Villains and being killed by Superboy-Prime.[2][3][4] He is later transported to Limbo before being resurrected as a Black Lantern during the Blackest Night event.[5] However, Superboy-Prime kills him using a black ring.[6]

Powers and abilities

[edit]

Geist is a metahuman who can become invisible in bright light. By concentrating, he can cause objects he is touching to become invisible as well.[citation needed]
