Freya Skye (born 16 October 2009) is an English singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor. She represented the UK in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022, and is starring in the upcoming film Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires. She is signed to Hollywood Records as an artist, to Disney Music Publishing as a songwriter, and also has a talent holding deal for future projects with Disney Branded Television.[1]
Early life
[edit]Skye was born on October 16, 2009 and raised in Buckinghamshire, England. She started singing and acting at the age of five.[1]
Career

[edit]Skye released her debut single "I Love the Way" in 2021.[2] On 3 November 2022, it was announced that she would be representing the United Kingdom at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Yerevan, Armenia, to perform her song "Lose My Head".[2][3] She won the top spot in the online global public vote,[1] and finished fifth overall.[4] She was 13 years-old at the time.[2] She was featured in two BBC documentaries about her experience with Eurovision and her pop music career,[1] and was a part of the lineup at the London Eurovision Party 2023.[5] On 19 July 2024, she released the single "Walk Over" on Hollywood Records.[6] On 13 September 2024, she released the single "Someone to Love".[7]
Film and television
[edit]Skye has worked as a voice actor on video games including Final Fantasy XVI (2023).[8] She appeared in season 9 of the Canadian series The Next Step on YTV, playing an exaggerated version of herself.[9] On 10 February 2024, it was announced that she would star in Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires, in the role of Nova.[8][10]
