FM Addis 97.1 is an Ethiopian radio station established in 2000 by the government.
Description
[edit]It was the first radio station that was established to address socio-economic related issues in urban area in Addis Ababa, focusing mainly day-to-day social issues of the people, although it broadcast s music and entertainment, live local and international news.[1]
The radio station serves Ethiopia via different transmission channels as well as covers Europe, North America, Canada, United States and other countries via Nilesat and Hot Bird satellites.[2]
