Erie Township is located in Whiteside County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 2,006 and it contained 836 housing units.[4]

History

Erie Township is named after Erie County, New York.[5]

Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 24.68 square miles (63.9 km2), of which 23.99 square miles (62.1 km2) (or 97.20%) is land and 0.69 square miles (1.8 km2) (or 2.80%) is water.[4]
