History
[edit]Enechange Ltd. was founded in April 2015 by Yohei Kiguchi and is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers market since December 2020.[5][7][8][9][10][11][12][13] Enechange is led by Yohei Kiguchi, the CEO and Representative Director.[5][14] The company is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.[5][7]
The company roots can be traced back to research conducted at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom, primarily in the analysis of electrical power data.[9][13]
Enechange operates in three main areas, which include the Energy Platform Business,[8][15][16] Energy Data Business,[8][15][16] and the EV Charging Business.[8][16]
The Japan Energy Fund (JEF) is an initiative by ENECHANGE, with a value of $100 million, dedicated to supporting energy-related projects.[17][18]
In July 2017, Enechange made an acquisition of SMAP Energy, a company specializing in energy analytics and demand forecasting.[9][13]
Enechange actively participates in the Japan Investment Advisers Association.[7][19]
