History

[edit]

Yuki and Friends was created by Osayuki Obanor, with the characters first conceptualized on April 21, 2021. Originally intended to be called “Yuki and her Stuffed Friends,” the show featured Poppy, Matt, Dinky, Rina, and Kat as Yuki’s stuffed animals. Due to a lack of fabric and thread, Osayuki Obanor decided to focus on creating one character, Kat, as a stuffed doll, leading to the title change to “Yuki and Friends.”

Inspiration

[edit]

The show draws inspiration from various beloved children's programs. The initial concept of Yuki and Kat entering a cartoon world using a key and a box was changed to Yuki using a wand for practical reasons.

Magic Words- The magical phrase “Yuki puki buki boo” used for teleportation adds a whimsical element to the show.
