Xolane Ndhlovu (born 1986) is a South African businessman and entrepreneur.[1] He is the founder and Executive Chairman of DafriBank Digital LTD.[2]

Ndhlovu was born in 1986 to a Nigerian father and a South African mother. His childhood was spent in various countries in Sub-Saharan Africa before settling in South Africa in 2001.[4].

Career

Ndhlovu's early career was marked by involvement in gang activity, which led to his arrest and conviction for attempted murder and possession of a semi-automatic weapon.[5] During his time in prison, Ndhlovu began investing in start-up tech companies.[6]

After his release, Ndhlovu founded DafriBank Digital LTD, to address the challenges of financial accessibility across Africa.[7](The Sun Nigeria, 2024) He is also an investor in Crypto-exchange Binance and owns a stake in Royal IVY, a South African luxury brand.[8] (Tribune Nigeria, 2022).

Philanthropy

Ndhlovu has established the Ziggy's Foundation, which aims to promote education and eradicate poverty in Africa.[9] (This Daily Times, 2024). Criticisms and Controversies

Ndhlovu's past involvement in gang activity has been a subject of controversy.[12] Some have questioned the legitimacy of his business ventures and the sources of his wealth.[13]
