The Webley & Scott Mark III was a flare gun used by the British army from the years 1911 to 1975. It was originally used during World War I and ended production with the end of the war however it was used until the end of the Vietnam War. In 1915 the Webley & Scott Mark III* was put into combat use which had a flanged barrel to protect the users hand.
