"Waiting for the Rapture" is a song by the English rock band Oasis from their seventh and final studio album Dig Out Your Soul. The song' chord structure is similar to The Doors' song Five to One.

Musical composition and structure

The song is primarily in the key of G5 and A5[2]

Reception

The American music magazine NME stated that the song's guitar riff sounds very similar to Five to One by The Doors.[3] NME also ranked the song number 142 in the band’s discography, stating simply "Bleeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuugh."[4] Spin Magazine said the song "sports a killer T. Rex trash-glam groove"[5] Rolling Stone magazine called it one of two "plodding midtempo rockers"[6]

The song was released as downloadable content for Guitar Hero: World Tour along with the rest of the Dig Out Your Soul album.[7]
