Draft:Venus Pictures

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Venus Pictures was a Hindi/Tamil-language film production and distribution company during the late 1950s-early 1980s run by late Indian film producer T. Govindarajan. It shows four planets fading in: Venus in the center, Mercury to the lower right, Earth to the right, and a moon at the top right. While Venus is spinning and slowly zooming towards the camera, Earth flies past said planet whereas Mercury is also revolving and remaining in place. When Venus stops coming closer, "VENUS PICTURES" in white fades in underneath. The planet continues spinning for the rest of the logo.

There are three versions. Starting with a warbling synth sound, a loud and dramatic orchestral sting plays before a four-note horn alternation plays. Its earliest appearance uses an ethereal swarmandal glissando that lasts throughout the entire logo is heard with a nine-note sitar melody played twice, ending with a note of a vibraphone. Later films use a rising orchestral piece.
