MF Varsovia - a ro-pax ferry was built in the Italian shipyard Cantiere Navale Visentini[1], and since 2024[2] it has been operating in the Polferries fleet[1]. The bareboat charter contract has been extended and announced in summer 2022. The Polish shipowner will rent the ship for a period of 10 years, with priority purchase after 6 years of use. The agreement was extended and announced in the summer of 2022[3].
On board the MF Varsovia there are 230 cabins of various standards, a catering area with a bar and a restaurant, a shop and an entertainment space[1]. The ship is equipped with CCTV cameras, a television system, a LAN network and Internet connections[4]. The ferry can take about 140 trucks and about 200 passenger cars[5].
It is the largest ferry with the longest Ro-Ro line[6], ever to operate in the Polferries fleet and the first completely new ship in over 20 years[1].
