True North Ale Company is a craft brewery located in Ipswich, Massachusetts, on Boston's North Shore. Founded in 2017 by father-and-son team Gary and Jake Rogers, the brewery is known for producing a wide variety of traditional and experimental beer styles.

History

[edit]

Gary Rogers began homebrewing in the 1980s, experimenting with various beer styles. After years of brewing experience, he and his son Jake, who gained industry expertise working at a regional brewery, decided to establish a professional brewery. With Head Brewer Seth Barnum and CFO Rory Laughna joining the team, True North Ale Company officially opened in the fall of 2017.[2]

Facilities

[edit]

The brewery operates a 15,000-square-foot facility equipped with a 30-barrel production brewhouse, a 5-barrel pilot system, fermentation vessels between 10 and 120 barrels in size, and a high-speed canning line capable of filling 100 cans per minute. It has an annual brewing capacity of over 15,000 barrels.[3]

The brewery also features a taproom, a patio, and "The North Side" event space, which hosts corporate gatherings, weddings, and community events.[4]
