Reception

[edit]

Frank Scheck of The Hollywood Reporter highlighted Alexander's "decidedly low-key approach to the narrative" and praised the performance of Jonathon Johaljevich, describing it as "charismatic."[6]

Katie Walsh of the Los Angeles Times noted the film's "realist approach to dialogue and performance," while highlighting Steven J. Mihaljevich's performance as displaying "a flicker as the dangerous sociopath Wendel."[7]

Bobby LePire of Film Threat discussed the film's "naturalistic performances" and "stylistic flourishes," while noting its "meandering narrative."[8]

Patrick King of Cultured Vultures described the film as "a layered character study" with "smart direction and excellent performances," noting that the actors "create real characters that we can study for a while."[9]

Emilie Black of Cinema Crazed praised the film's consistent pacing and visual style, crediting Shannon Alexander's involvement in multiple aspects of the production, and singled out Athan Bellos for his "strong performance."[10]
