The Bookshelf (Georgian: წიგნების თარო, romanized: ts'ignebis taro) is an original Georgian television game show format that combines literature with various educational topics. The show runs for one television season and follows an Olympic system format.
The first format was created in 2015 and premiered on January 16, 2016, on Georgian Public Broadcaster. As of 2024, the show has aired 14 school seasons and 11 student seasons.
The winning team of the show travels to a summer school in Cambridge, United Kingdom. Starting from the fourth season, in addition to the winning team, a participant chosen by the audience also gets the opportunity to go to Cambridge.
