Critical reception
[edit]A critic from 123telugu wrote that "The main plus point of the movie 'The Bells', which came with the tagline 'For Awareness', is the social message conveyed by the director through the story of this movie. 'Women should be protected. The youth should brace themselves for that. The point that is said is good, that we should bring about change from within ourselves, instead of thinking that someone will come and do something.' That point makes the audience think. On the other hand, hero Rayan Rahul did well in his role. He showed variation in two different shades well. Although Rayan seemed okay in the given role, he still has a lot to learn. Heroine Nehadesh Pandey does not have much importance in the film, so I can't say much about her performance. She was used for glamour attraction in the first half. She is good to watch in the songs. The comedian who plays the hero's friend makes people laugh well in the first half with double meaning dialogues. The actor who plays the villain named Aggiram Naidu also gave a good performance".[11] Webdunia Telugu rating the film 2.5/5 and wrote that "Praveen Chandra, however, has captured the story to how the conditions are in the village and the city... and has anchored the youth. However, the point of the story is not new... it is an old story. The director has done a good job of highlighting and resolving some of the issues that happened in society".[12]
