This article is an autobiography or has been extensively edited by the subject or by someone connected to the subject. (November 2024) |
Submission declined on 21 November 2024 by Chaotic Enby (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

- Comment: The article will need independent articles about him to show he is notable, not articles he published. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 07:32, 21 November 2024 (UTC)

Tathagata is an AI Engineer and researcher working in Coupa Software Pvt. Ltd. He pursued his Masters in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay. Tathagata has a profound interest in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. He authored 10 research publications and also secured an All India Rank of 21 in GATE Computer Science Exam.
Research Career
[edit]Tathagata started his research career working with Late Dr. Ashesh Nandy (known for his contributions in Nandy Plot.[1]), Dr. Subhas Basak and Dr. Smarajit Manna. His interests lie in GRANCH (Graphical Representation and Numerical Characterization[2]), Peptide Vaccine designing, Study of Mutations and Sequence descriptors. In this domain, he authored 5 conference papers along with 4 journal papers and a book chapter[3].
His most cited work is 'Identification and Computational Analysis of Mutations in SARS-CoV-2'[4] where he introduced the idea of qR characterization to study mutations in SARS-CoV-2. He developed '2D Polar Co-ordinate system for GRANCH' to analyse sequences based on amino-acids rather than conventional genomic studies[5]. Using this new algorithms he contributed in cluster of strain analysis of different pathogens[6][7]. He authored multiple research articles describing a pipeline for peptide vaccine designing for Ebola virus[8][9] and Covid-19[10][11]. Tathagata also contributed in a book named 'Big Data Analytics in Chemoinformatics and Bioinformatics' where he talked about Alignment-free Sequence Descriptors applying on Zika, SARS, MERS and COVID-19[12].
Later on he worked in the Centre For Indian Language Technology (CFILT Lab) in Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay. He was guided by Prof. Pushpak Bhattacharyya for his thesis. His thesis work on 'Table to text Generation with Subjectivity and Objectivity' has been published in the arxiv as well[13]
