Speed Racer is an upcoming American sports action television series, an installment of the media franchise of the same name created by Tatsuo Yoshida.
Production
[edit]It was announced in May 2022 that a live action television series was greenlit by Apple TV+, with Ron Fitzgerald and Hiram Martinez set to write and showrun the series, and J. J. Abrams serving as executive producer.[1] It was reported the series will be based around a script Abrams had written in the 1990s for an unproduced film adaptation he was attached to.[2] The series was still under development when it was reported Abrams and his Bad Robot production company renewed their first-look deal with Warner Bros.[3]
