The main sporting organization of Cachar District of Assam is District Sports Association Silchar or simply Silchar DSA. The association is the umbrella unit of all the sports associations of the Cachar District. The Silchar DSA was established in the year 1957. Its head quarter is in Satindra Mohan Dev Memorial Stadium [1] Silchar DSA is the affiliated unit of Assam Olympic Association, Assam Football Association, Assam Hockey, Assam Cricket Association, Assam Basketball Association, Assam Athletics Association, Assam Badminton Association, Assam Table Tennis Associtation and some other state sports associations.
