Shouryuv (born Koduri Yuvaraj Shourya Simha) is an Indian film director and screenwriter known for working in Telugu cinema.[1][2][3] He made his directorial debut with the film Hi Nanna (2024), which won him a Filmfare Award and a SIIMA Award.
Early life
[edit]Shouryuv born in Visakhapatnam completed his MBBS at Maharajah Institute of Medical Sciences in Vizianagaram. He later moved to Hyderabad to pursue a career in filmmaking.[4] His brother Nikhil Vijayendra Simha is an YouTuber.[5]
Carrer
[edit]Shouryuv worked under the mentorship of V. Vijayendra Prasad and also worked on the films like Jaguar and Adithya Varma.[6][7]
In 2024, he directed his first feature Hi Nanna starring Nani, Mrunal Thakur and Shruti Haasan.[8] The film received positive reviews from critics and became a commercial success. Sangeetha Devi Dundoo of The Hindu wrote, "Shouryuv’s drama is a breather amid larger-than-life action entertainers."[9] and Neeshitha Nyayapati of Hindustan Times wrote, "Shouryuv’s debut film is an emotional drama that’ll tug at your heart, both with its performances and storyline."[10] Also Allu Arjun congratulated the team and praised Shouryuv for his impressive debut with the film.[11]
