SEESHA is the acronym of Samiti for Education, Environment, Social Health and Action.[1][2][3][4][5][6] It is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation started in Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu, India.[7][8][9]

Founded in 2003 as a small charitable trust by Indian educationist and humanitarian, Paul Dhinakaran, the organisation is now functioning as a welfare and developmental NGO focusing on holistic community development.[10][11] Children receive free tutorial education and medical camps.[12][13][14]

They work in some of the poorest communities in both urban and rural India, in the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Uttar Pradesh and the union territories of Delhi and Puducherry.[15][1][6][16]
