Early Life
Ryin Miller was born in 2007 in Topeka, Kansas. She has always attended public schools in Topeka. As of January 2025, Miller is currently a Junior in high school at Topeka Seaman High School in Topeka, Kansas. Miller has been involved in Athletics most of her life beginning with soccer and basketball at a young age. Soccer was always her preferred sport with basketball coming in second. Early in her life Miller knew she wanted to be successful in the sporting world and she wanted to take it as far as she could, up to and including a career in professional sports. She has always been driven and extremely focused with anything she does in life, especially sports and her education. As Miller grew into her early middle and high school years her focus on soccer increased over her commitment on basketball even though she still gave 100% effort on the basketball court. In her quest to become a more efficient and effective soccer player between the goals she started running and participating in Cross Country and Track and Field to increase her stamina and her physical fitness level.
Miller's first years of competing in track and cross country found her with a moderate amount of success and she realized she enjoyed these "new to her" sports more than she had anticipated. Miller began to train more on gaining physical strength, speed, and endurance to elevate her running game. During this new type of training, she started to research Sports Nutrition and fueling the Human body with the nutrition required to perform at peak levels. Again, she is very focused with this research and applied it directly to herself to increase her ability to train more effectively, and to make gains with her own body and physical fitness level.
As Miller moves into and through her high school years this research of food science nutrition and applying it to herself is paying off with great dividends as she has become a world class runner with acknowledgement at National levels. Currently several Division I colleges are directly recruiting her and competing for her attendance at their schools. The college recruiting offers include scholarships and NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deals. As a high school junior, she currently has a Student Athlete Compensation deal with the Performance Sports Technology company COROS Nike is also speaking to Miller and her family about sponsoring her as she moves into the next levels of competition with her running.
As of January 2025, Miller has not made up her mind yet which college she will be attending, and she plans to visit several more before she makes her decision. Miller likes schools that are located at higher elevations, as this aids in her endurance levels and enhances her athletic performance through better training. Miller has stated she plans to study health related topics and currently keeps her interest in nutritional science.

Gatorade Player of the Year Track and Field 2024
During the summer of 2024 the most prestigious track and field award for state track and field was handed out when Seaman’s Ryin Miller was named the Gatorade Kansas Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Year. This award came with a Gatorade banner that hangs in the halls of Topeka Seaman high school, a Gatorade trophy, and Gatorade uniform.
Miller is the first underclassman to win the award since Leavenworth’s Dhakiya Blake won in 2020. Miller is also the only track and field athlete from Topeka Seaman High School to receive this honor. Miller had a standout 23-24 season for the Vikings on the track while also continuing her career as an impressive competitor on the soccer field, basketball court, and cross-country course. She also excels with her grades as she keeps her 4.0 grade average throughout her high school career.
The high school junior athlete won the Class 5A 1600m and the 800m state championships in May 2024 while finishing in second place in the 3200m run behind Kansas rival Katelyn Rupe from Salina. Miller set several personal bests and broke records this spring, as she holds the Seaman school record in each of the distance events. She also ranks third all-time in the state for the 3200m with a 10:13.97. Another achievement on the track consists of her holding the fourth-fastest time in state history in the 1600m and 800m runs. While Miller dominated local competition all season, her fast times steadily rose up the national charts. She was continually ranked in the top 25 nationally in the 3200m, 1600m, and 800m runs. Miller continues to get stronger and faster with her running events. Miller is also nationally ranked in high school cross country.
Miller was named Kansas Girls Track and Field Gatorade Player of the year 2023-2024.[4]

This spring, she rocketed up the state’s all-time distance lists with head-turning momentum. High School Soccer
Topeka Seaman Vikings (2022 - 2026)
Club Soccer?????
Miller started playing soccer at a very young age. As always and with all the other sports she started playing, she dominated the field with her natural skills and speed. Moving into a competitive league from the start of her soccer career she steadily improved her dominant, unselfish style of play which has helped her teams win several championships.
As quoted by MaxPreps.com here are Some of Miller's Soccer Awards.
As specified at MaxPreps.com, these are the Kansas Girls Soccer (Spring 2024) Points Leaders with Miller shown in 17th place overall.
High School Basketball
Topeka Seaman Vikings (2022 - 2026)
Even before middle school Miller was a standout basketball player. She played competitive basketball at a young age before growing into her middle and high school teams. She learned to handle the ball with both left and right hands when she was very young, which helped to make her a natural point guard. Miller also played on MAYB teams during the summer. She shines at every sport she participates in, and basketball is no different. Playing at point guard she rises to the top, as she is very quick and quite fast. She sets up the team as they move back to offense and keeps the ball moving for the best shot. Miller has now evolved to cover more than just the point guard position, as she is also playing a floating type of shooter position on the Seaman women's basketball team. Miller is not selfish with her play and works the plays for the best percentage shot possible. She is passionate that the outcome of the game is her team winning, regardless of who is scoring.

Nike Cross National NXN as shown at Runnerspace.com
In the Nike Cross National (NXN) event on December 7th, 2024, at Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland, OR, Miller wore a white jersey, orange shorts, and black sleeves along with her signature chartreuse green Nike shoes. Covered in mud from other athletes these colors almost all blended together during the race. Due to the muddy conditions of the race, Miller opted for her shorter spikes so the sod would not build up on her shoes. This might have been a mistake as Miller slipped when she came out of the start gate hard as she tends to do to obtain an early lead. This slip put her towards the back of the large crowd of runners and she had to weave her way through the mass of runners to make up time and distance. Miller was able to work her way back up through the crowd over the length of the 5K course where she finished in 40th place out of 199 competitors. Runnerspace.com reports the 2024 NXN results HERE and Letsrun.com reports the 2024 NXN results HERE with Miller finishing 40th overall from 199.
