Red Valley is a mystery audio drama podcast created by Jonathan Williams and Alan Mandel. The series is set around a mysterious and powerful biotech corporation known as Overhead Industries, which is involved in a secretive project called "The Red Valley Project."
The story follows two main characters:
Gordon Porlock: A middle-manager tasked with investigating a long-abandoned research facility connected to the Red Valley Project. Warren Godby: The enigmatic and unhinged caretaker of the facility, who reluctantly partners with Gordon in uncovering the truth behind the project. Red Valley explores themes of experimental science, morality, trauma, and psychological horror. It particularly delves into the concept of hypersleep (suspended animation) and the consequences of such technology. The podcast has been noted for its immersive storytelling, complex characters, and atmospheric sound design.
The show is produced by Orpheus Studio and has gained recognition for its contribution to the mystery and sci-fi audio drama genre.
