Rama Rajya,Sanskrit: राम राज्यम, IAST: Rāma Rājyam (transl. Reign of Righteousness)is a hardcore Hindutva concept of a utopian rule also mentioned in Tulsidasa's Ramayana.[1]
In Gandhi terms
[edit]According to Gandhi, the ideal Ram Rajya may be politically described as “the land of dharma and a realm of peace, harmony and happiness for young and old, high and low, all creatures and the earth itself, in recognition of a shared universal consciousness.[2]
In Hindu tradition
[edit]The Rama Rajya is established as a utopian rule, a democratic rule under Rama and his brother Bharata. The first mention of the kingdom, is mentioned in the Yuddha Kanda of Valmiki Ramayan.The second mention is of Tulsidasa.[3]
