Pepecoin (abbreviation: PEP, sign: Ᵽ) is a layer-1 cryptocurrency launched on January 30th, 2024. It is a fully decentralized and secure blockchain created specifically for the Pepe community. The cryptocurrency was developed by two brothers, Zordiak and Karzo, who are also known as Dogecoin Shibes.
Technical characteristics
[edit]Pepecoin operates on a Proof-of-work consensus mechanism and is secured using Litecoin and Dogecoin's hashrate. The cryptocurrency is notable for its merged mining capabilities, allowing simultaneous mining with Litecoin and Dogecoin. Unlike many modern cryptocurrencies, Pepecoin deliberately excludes smart contract functionality, focusing instead on simple transactions.

Wallet and storage
