Prabuddha Dissanayake[1](Sinhala: ප්රබුද්ධ දිසානායක), professionally known as Pcx1 Present[2], is a Sri Lankan rapper, songwriter, actor and director. He is the founder and owner of the Pcx1 Network.[3][4][5]
Early life and education
[edit]Prabuddha Dissanayake was born on August 14, 2006, in Kandy, Sri Lanka. His father, Ranil Dissanayake, is a politician and businessman, and his mother, Pramesha Nishadhi, is a teacher. He has a brother named Yehen Bandara Dissanayake. [3]
He attended St. Anthony's Boys College Panadura, then pursued studies in English at British Way English Academy. He later pursued Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at ESOFT Metro Campus.[4]
Career

[edit]Pcx1 Present released his first song, "Sellama Rap," in 2023. He gained attention through performances on platforms like TikTok and YouTube, particularly for his rendition of Eminem's "Godzilla" fast verse. His subsequent tracks include "Hipopi," "Question," "Freestyle I," "About Friends, Pt. 1," "About Friends, Pt. 2," and "Paapa Karmee,[6]" which addresses themes such as love and addiction.[7][8][9][10][11][12]
His track "Paapa Karmee"[6]achieved significant online traction, amassing over 500,000 all time streams on major streaming platforms.
Directed projects
[edit]In addition to his music career, Pcx1 Present directed the YouTube series "Mr. Andare — Comedy S01," which aired from 2021 to 2023.[13] [4]He was involved in multiple aspects of production, including directing, acting, and producing.[14]
