Partners in Performance, Part of Accenture, is a multinational strategy and management consulting company headquartered in Sydney, Australia. It operates in six regions: Africa, Australasia, Europe, Latin America, North America, and Southeast Asia.
Its team of approximately 600 consultants and support staff provides services across public, private, and non-profit sectors.[1]
The firm operates across industries and service areas but primarily works with clients in heavy industries.
History
[edit]Partners in Performance was founded in 1996 by Skipp Williamson, a former consultant at McKinsey & Company.[2][3]
The firm initially gained recognition through a pay-for-results turnaround project for UK Paper, which generated $100 million in savings for the client.[4]
In 2020, Partners in Performance joined the United Nations Global Compact Network Australia's Sustainable Development Framework.[5][6]
In 2021, the firm launched a digital transformation practice and acquired DataStories, a European-based data science company, to enhance its AI capabilities, and expand its prescriptive analytics and AI services.[7][8]
In 2024, Partners in Performance was acquired by global professional services firm Accenture.[9]
Consulting Services
[edit]Partners in Performance provides management consulting services in many industries but is primarily focused on heavy industries - mining and metals, utilities, energy, chemicals. The firm advises on issues such as operational improvement, energy transition, capital project performance, organisational design, digital transformation, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate strategy. It also has practices in AI and prescriptive analytics, financial services, and consumer goods and retail.
The firm has an Energy Transition Practice[10] and is an advocate for decarbonisation. It works with companies in hard-to-abate sectors like mining to reduce emissions.[11][12]
Partners in Performance uses a continuous improvement methodology, which increases the capability of people within an organisation and ensures new behaviours and productivity improvements are sustainable across the long term.[13] The firm partnered with INSEAD in 2019 to co-design a program to teach managers and leaders the fundamentals of continuous improvement methodology.[14]
The firm works in a pro-bono manner with a variety of NGOs, non-profits and community groups around the world .[15] In 2023, the firm partnered with Bedford Group, a not-for-profit organisation that provides supported employment, independent living, and National Disability Insurance Scheme services.[16][17]
