The National Agency for Education (Lithuanian: Nacionalinė švietimo agentūra, NŠA) is an educational assistance agency founded by the Ministry of Education and Science (Lithuanian: Švietimo, mokslo ir sporto ministerija). The agency implements Lithuania's pre-school, pre-primary and general education policies.

History

The agency was founded on 30 April 2019 by merging 6 former agencies into 1 agency.^[6]

The agency became operational on 1 September 2019.^[7]
