Throughout his years with the Panthers, Caldwell's strategic efforts have played a pivotal role in the rebirth of the Florida Panthers, from building a front office team that continues to set franchise records in ticket sales and sponsorship revenue[8], to hiring Florida Panthers General Manager Bill Zito in 2020[9] who ultimately led the team to their first Stanley Cup Championship in 2024.[10]

Caldwell’s leadership has played an instrumental role in the Panthers commitment to the South Florida community and outreach including the revitalization of Fort Lauderdale's historic War Memorial Auditorium and construction of a two-sheet team practice and community ice facility, the Baptist Health IcePlex, which hosts community hockey and skating programs for residents and surrounding communities.[11]

Over his decade-long tenure with the Florida Panthers, Caldwell has ensured the franchise remains firmly rooted in Broward County, beginning with his pivotal role in restructuring the Panthers-Broward County 2015 arena lease and later amending and extending the agreement in September 2024.[12]
