Keun-Ah Cheon

Keun-Ah Cheon, M.D., Ph.D., is a prominent South Korean child and adolescent psychiatrist, serving as a professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Yonsei University College of Medicine and as the director of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Severance Hospital in Seoul, South Korea. She is renowned for her contributions to understanding neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Early Life and Education

Dr. Cheon earned her M.D. from Yonsei University College of Medicine in 1994, followed by an M.S. and Ph.D. in medical science with a focus on child and adolescent psychiatry from the same institution. Her doctoral dissertation centered on developing a diagnostic tool for ADHD in Korean children and exploring its genetic associations.
