Jagannadh Manikanta is an Indian film director and screenwriter known for working in Telugu cinema. He is known for For His Short Films.
Early life
[edit]Jagannadh Manikanta was born in Guntakal , Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh, India. His father, Gandikota Sreenivasulu, once upon at time worked as an daily wager and also owner in a private hotel sector, while his mother, Gandikota Padmavathi, was a homemaker. Jagannadh has one sister.
He completed his early education at St. Mary’s High School in Guntakal and pursued a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at SSGS Degree College in Guntakal. He later earned a Master’s degree in Physics from Sri Krishnadevaraya University 2015,Anantapur.
Before transitioning to filmmaking, Jagannadh worked in Hyderabad as a Credit Processing Associate (CPA) at ICICI Bank and later served as an Assistant Manager at Future Generali India Insurance until 2022.Despite his professional commitments, he remained focused on his filmmaking aspirations, balancing work and his creative pursuits with determination.
Career
[edit]Jagannadh Manikanta’s filmmaking journey began during his tenure at ICICI Bank, where he met Asha Jyothi, who later became his wife and producer. Together, they collaborated on three short films:

With Asha Jyothi's support, Jagannadh’s short films received positive recognition in the short film circuit. His YouTube channel, showcasing his creative work, has garnered approximately 9.6k subscribers, reflecting his growing influence and audience.
Known for his persistence and creative vision, Jagannadh continues to explore storytelling through cinema. He is currently working on his debut feature film, which is yet to be officially titled.
