Jacob Ward is an American actor. He is best known for his role in Somewhere in Queens as Matthew "Sticks" Russo (2023).
Career
[edit]Ward made his feature film debut in 2023, playing the lead role of Matthew "Sticks" Russo in Ray Romano's directorial debut Somewhere in Queens.[1] The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 10, 2022, and released in theaters on April 21, 2023.[2] Ward starred alongside Romano, Laurie Metcalf, Sebastian Maniscalco, Tony Lo Bianco, and Sadie Stanley, playing Romano and Metcalf's son. The film garnered favorable reviews, as did Ward's performance.[3] Deadline critic Pete Hammond found Ward's work "understated and terrific."[4] Patrick Gibbs of SLUG Magazine stated that, "he should be a dark horse Oscar contender for this breakthrough performance."[5]
