Israel Laisequilla

Israel Laisequilla, better known as I. Laisequilla and occasionally by his pseudonyms Engr's Workshop / Taller del inge, is an instructor, engineer, industrial futurist, content creator, and non-fiction writer. His books cover scientific and educational topics spanning the fields of industrial engineering, applied statistics, manufacturing, supply chain, industrial methodologies, and total quality control. He has published 15 books and 2 literary collections, some of which have already been translated into English.

Shunned by engineers and industrial academics for being considered a "controversial" author—due to the titles of his books as well as his conclusions and perspectives on industrial futurology—his works reached the number one spot in sales in 2023 and 2024 under the "industrial production" category. These works are now being used as foundational material in industrial projects and workplace training sessions. His "non-literary" writing style, combined with clear and concise phrasing that sets aside technical jargon, makes reading technical material less intimidating. His books assume that readers have access to new technologies like AI and IoT, which significantly reduces the volume of information presented in written format and aids in developing critical thinking on the subject through real-life cases and his own experiences in engineering.

Laisequilla was nominated for the Amazon Storyteller Literary Award in 2023 for his work La Biblia de la Ingeniería Industrial (2023), and in 2024 he coined the term "industrial futurist."
