Hrishikesh Majumdar is the son and and disciple of Pandit Ronu Majumdar. He is a flute player from the Maihar Gharana of the Hindustani Classical music.[1]
Performances
[edit]Along with classical performances, he plays contemporary music. He played in a project 'Seven colours of life[2]'[3] and 'Flute Trance[4]'[5] which is a fusion of classical music with trance. He performs solo concerts and jugalbandis with his father and guru Pandit Ronu Majumdar both across the nation and Internationally.[6][7]
Apart from his father, he has performed with musicians of the Indian classical music like Ustad Taufiq Qureshi[8], Vidushi Bombay Jayashri, Rajhesh Vaidya, Anuradha Pal[9], Aruna Sairam, Vijay Prakash and many more.[10][11][12]
