Gregory Michael Hagan (born August 29, 1970) is an American touring musician, songwriter, and recording artist. He is best known for his work as the guitarist and bandleader for Little Big Town and as the Musical Director for LeAnn Rimes.[1] He is also credited on records by artists including The Katinas, RJ Helton, Mat Kearney, Mandisa, FFH, and Jordin Sparks.[2] He has been active since 1997. Hagan resides in Nashville, TN.
Hagan began his career with studio recording sessions for artists primarily in the Christian Music genre. He was featured as a musician on many Christian albums in the early 2000s. He also has writing credits on albums by True Vibe, Freddie Colloca, Dean DePaolo, and Zach Tyson.[2] In 2005, he began touring as guitarist and bandleader for Little Big Town while still maintaining steady session work. He toured with Little Big Town until 2009. In 2011, Hagan began touring as guitarist, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and bandleader for LeAnn Rimes, moving away from regular sessions.[3][4] He has been featured on four studio albums by Rimes. He is the Musical Director for LeAnn Rimes and is known for his acoustic duets with her.[5][6] One duet in 2020 garnered attention from news sites like Billboard Magazine due to its western theme and costuming for their cover of Lewis Capaldi's "Someone You Loved".[7][8]
Hagan is a member of the Nashville Musicians Association.[9] He has also served as an Associate Pastor of Worship Arts for New Song Nashville Church since 2013.[10]
